Clothes for Play

Children enjoy a wide range of activities at pre-school, including messy, creative, water and outdoor play. Please send your child in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

Clothing that is easy to put on and take off also helps children develop confidence and independence, particularly when using the toilet or getting ready to go outside.

We provide aprons for messy and water play, but children are welcome to join in whether or not they choose to wear one.

Ready for the Outdoors

We have free-flow access to our outdoor area throughout our sessions, allowing children to enjoy fresh air, physical activity and outdoor play in all seasons.

A waterproof coat and wellies are particularly useful on wet days. We have some spare outdoor clothing available, but children are generally more comfortable in their own clothes and footwear.

Please Label Everything

Please clearly label your child’s clothing, footwear and belongings. This helps us make sure everything finds its way home.

A Few Things to Tell Us

Please let us know about any dietary, cultural or religious requirements so we can make sure your child’s needs are understood and supported.

If your child needs medication during their session, please speak to a member of staff. We will discuss what is needed and provide the appropriate arrangements.
