A Space to Explore, Play and Learn
At Arden Grove Pre-School, we have created a bright, welcoming environment where children feel safe, confident and ready to explore.
Our spaces are carefully arranged to encourage children to play, investigate, create and make choices for themselves, with resources and activities that reflect their interests and support their individual learning.
Learning Inside
Our bright and airy classroom provides a range of areas for children to explore, including opportunities for:
- imaginative and small-world play
- creative activities and making
- books, stories and quiet time
- construction and problem-solving
- sensory and hands-on experiences
- developing early maths, literacy and communication skills
Resources are accessible to children so they can make choices, follow their interests and develop their independence through play.
Exploring Outdoors
Our large outdoor area is an important part of everyday learning at Arden Grove Pre-School.
Children have free-flow access to the outdoors throughout their sessions, allowing them to move between indoor and outdoor play as their interests change.
Outside, children can enjoy:
- physical play and developing coordination
- exploring nature and the changing seasons
- digging, planting and caring for growing things
- imaginative and creative play
- investigating and discovering
- opportunities to develop confidence and independence
The outdoor environment gives children space to bices, follow their interests and develop their independence through play.
Learning Through Everyday Experiences
Our environment changes and develops alongside the children. We observe what they are interested in and use this to provide new experiences, challenges and opportunities for learning.
Whether they are building, creating, investigating a bug, sharing a story or enjoying time outdoors, children are encouraged to learn at their own pace and develop their own ideas.
We want every child to feel that Arden Grove is a place where they belong, a place where they can play, explore, discover and grow.
Come and See Us
We would love you to see our environment for yourself and discover what makes Arden Grove Pre-School a special place for children to learn and grow.
